Wednesday August 28th – August Medal, stroke & putts.

It was a very difficult day for playing golf. Some light rain fell for a few holes at the start of the round but fortunately it cleared and the sky turned blue.  However, as the day progressed the wind became stronger and stronger, shots moved off line in the air, on the green and even on the tee. What is the rule??  The greens were great and the fairways had dried out considerably since the rain.  Players played off the red or yellow tees with handicaps being adjusted accordingly.
On a slightly wet and very wind morning the results were very close.

1st; Sherif Abdel-Sayed – 104/28/76 c/b
2nd; David Jones – 95/19/76
3rd; Lorraine Robb – 108/29/79 c/b  Hugh Williams 100/21/79
Least putts. Jenny Hartley – 29.
Monthly Medal winner will be announced after Saturday’s competition.
