The round began under clear skies with plenty of mid spring sun, the fairways were in top nick but the rapid growth at this time of year saw some sections of very thick rough.  It is a battle keeping the grass down at this time of year.  The greens were quick and early in the round a few players saw their ball disappear back to the surrounds.  A steady, mid 30Kph wind from the S/SE also kept players guessing.  On a top day when so many players were away on the annual golf trip the results were;

1st; Craig Sandy (23) – 35pts

2nd; Bob McLennan (16) – 34pts

3rd; John Freestone (29) – 31pts

NTPs; 15th –  Bob McLennan
