Our hardy volunteers continue with their improvements/maintenance schedule.  All greens had been scarified, seeded, fertilised and top dressed on Tuesday.  The sun was out and there was a good breeze from the NW.  The Wednesday contingent had a fun day of Stableford while the greens had their drying sand rubbed in.  Eleven holes were played and even though the greens were heavy with sand, everyone expected the greens to be slow but strong putts usually went well passed the cup, scoring was quite good and the golf was enjoyed by all.
Shirley Shelton had a lovely round and best score of the day.  On a sunny morning the results were;
1st; Shirley Shelton (24) – 19 points
2nd; Lorraine Robb (42) – 18 pts  c/b
3rd; Wendy Gosden (26) – 18 pts
